Short Bio

Priv.Doz.Dr.nat.techn. Barbara Amon, habilitated in “Agricultural Engineering” with a special focus on sustainable manure management options. She is co-chair of the Agriculture and Nature Panel of the Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections and of the Expert Panel on Mitigating Agricultural Nitrogen under the Task Force of Reactive Nitrogen. Currently, she is involved in the 2019 refinement of the IPCC guidelines (Lead Author for the chapter Agriculture) and in the Technical Advisory Group on Nutrient Cycles of the Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance Partnership of the FAO. Her focus of work is NH3 and GHG emissions from livestock systems, sustainable livestock management and inventory compilation.
